I invite you to browse through my latest series of works below alongside collections of my other works. When my commissions are open, I will be more than happy to discuss specifics so please don't hesitate to get in contact!
The piece 'Do You See Me?' is a video installation piece centred around my own personal experience with anxiety and how I perceive it on a physical level. The cardboard box tower and surrounding clutter represent how when anxious, you can feel seconds away from toppling over the edge, perched on a precarious tower of hastily boxed away thoughts and emotions that threaten to burst out and overwhelm you. Even if you are alone in a room you can feel crowded and surrounded by emotions you try to hide from.
With this piece, I aimed to provide a more literal physical representation of anxiety, with the aim to educate and shed light on how anxiety can genuinely feel through the eyes of someone who deals with anxiety on a daily basis.
Anxiety can come in a wide variety of forms and every individual has their own unique interpretation of how they would depict anxiety in a physical form. The artworks in this series are based upon my own interpretation of anxiety. I focused upon my own ideas instead of expanding to depict anyone else's personal interpretations primarily because I felt that I would not be unable to do them justice. Everyone experiences anxiety differently, so without detailed knowledge of how a person feels when anxious, I would simply not feel comfortable producing a potentially subpar piece of art.
Perhaps in the future, I can expand these works to include other representations, by collaborating with others who have anxiety.
The digital piece 'Collateral ' was created as a piece to raise awareness of just how much trash is left on the moon as a result of lunar expeditions.
